Puzzles by Artist David Maclean
After 26 years of owning and operating an art gallery chain throughout Washington, Oregon and Western Canada, David sold the business in 2015 to become a full-time artist. “I was a traditional brush and canvas artist for 25 years before switching to become a digital artist 18 years ago, I realized all the things I could do with a brush and canvas I could do in a program, using the same stroke techniques but with a much larger palette. It also allows for more layering, which was always something I used when I was using traditional methods." Currently living among the vineyards and orchards with his wife of over 30 years, Maryse and David have 3 grown children. David is represented by one of the worlds leading art licensing agencies. ”You could say I was born an Artist, my mother recalls taking me to my first day of school as a young boy and and seeing what I had created than going out and buying art supplies and saying to me, “This is your destiny, you are an artist”.
