Jigsaw Puzzles by Artist Joelle McIntyre
An award winning painter, muralist and miniaturist, Joelle began her serious art and calligraphy training in high school. She holds a BFA in Illustration/Visual Design from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth's School of Visual & Performing Arts. Her studio painting style is very traditional, working in glazes of acrylics and gouache to create detailed realism in her work. Joelle is passionate about creating challenging puzzle compositions. She creates many of her puzzles from places she has visited throughout New England, especially on the coast. Hundreds of snapshots are taken to create each puzzle design, and research is done to include fun trivial elements when possible. Always an animal lover, she tries to include wildlife or pets in every puzzle. Joelle, her husband, and a terrier named “Trixie,” make their home and studio in Johnston, Rhode Island.
